2018 foals

We are expecting 2 miniature horse/pony foals later this spring. We may offer them for sale – watch this page for updates!

Mares

Flossie – 2014 mare.  36 inches.  $600
AMHA/AMHR registered. Sired by Karat. Friendly, cooperative, and does well with children.  She would make a nice brood mare.

Nessie – 2016 bay filly. 36″ $1,000. Sired by Callaway. Lively and curious, Nessie is turning out nicely and would also make a good brood mare or children’s pony. We are not riding her yet since she’s only 2, but she gets plenty of time interacting with people. Trained to load.

Stallions

Janette is breeding less horses and has decided to let go of two of her 4 stallions, both from champion lines.  Asking price is half what we paid for them. They are getting older, but still sound and fit, siring excellent foals.  These are current pictures.

Callaway – 2000 Bay stallion.  29 inches.  $1,500
Vermilyea Farms Corvettes Callaway, registered with both AMHR and AMHA.  He was National Grand Champion as a colt, sired by champion Roys Toy/out of Buckeroos Southern Belle.  Grandsire Bond Snippet.  He passes his nicely dished face and clean, trim conformation on to his foals.  This stud has been a great sire for us and is ready to go to work for another breeder.

Karat – 1997 stallion.  31 inches.  $2,000
Lowreys Lil 18 Karat, registered with both AMHR and AMHA.  Sire Cajun King, Grandsires Little Rambler and Vant Huttenest.  Karat is broke to ride and drive and has pulled the cart for many VBS programs and other events for kids.  His foals have good conformation and tend to inherit his very full mane and tail.  He appears to have many healthy years still ahead.  We will miss him if he finds a new home, but we would love to see him get a chance sire some more outstanding foals.

Geldings

Black Pepper – 2008 black gelding.  Registered American Shetland. About 42 inches. $800
Broke to ride.  Pepper has been a favorite among children old enough to ride independently.  He is also pictured in the background of the second picture of Golden Cloud, below.

Golden Cloud (“GC”) –  SOLD 2010 Palomino gelding.  35 inches.  $500
AMHA/AMHR registered.  Friendly and energetic; being trained to ride and drive, doing well.

Nicolas – SOLD  2014 dark palomino gelding.  35″  $500
Halter broke; friendly.  We’ve only had kids on him a few times, but we expect him to do well under saddle.
