Clyde – SOLD 2017 Palomino colt. Should mature around 38-40 in, like his mom. $200
Shetland/Miniature cross. This cross makes a nice-sized saddle pony for children. He has been caught and handled most days since he was born in late May; he is halter broke and tame. Dolly, his mother, is a great saddle pony. She is the light grey mare behind him in two of the photos below.
Skippy – SOLD 1998 buckskin brood mare. 31″ $300
Registered with both AMHA and AMHR. Gentle and tame, leads and loads well. She has given us some lovely foals, including Princess, listed below.
Princess – 2009 paint mare. 30 inches. $600
AMHA/AMHR registered. Has been successfully bred, and produces sound, beautiful foals. Tame and docile, she has been ridden by children while being led a few times.
Flossie – 2014 mare. 32 inches. $600
AMHA/AMHR registered. Friendly, cooperative, and does well with children. She will make a nice brood mare.
Janette is breeding less horses and has decided to let go of two of her 4 stallions, both from champion lines. Asking price is half what we paid for them. They are getting older, but still sound and fit, siring excellent foals. These are current pictures.
Callaway – 2000 Bay stallion. 29 inches. $2,000
Vermilyea Farms Corvettes Callaway, registered with both AMHR and AMHA. He was National Grand Champion as a colt, sired by champion Roys Toy/out of Buckeroos Southern Belle. Grandsire Bond Snippet. He passes his nicely dished face and clean, trim conformation on to his foals. This stud has been a great sire for us and is ready to go to work for another breeder.
Karat – 1997 stallion. 31 inches. $2,000
Lowreys Lil 18 Karat, registered with both AMHR and AMHA. Sire Cajun King, Grandsires Little Rambler and Vant Huttenest. Karat is broke to ride and drive and has pulled the cart for many VBS programs and other events for kids. His foals have good conformation and tend to inherit his very full mane and tail. He appears to have many healthy years still ahead. We will miss him if he finds a new home, but we would love to see him get a chance sire some more outstanding foals.
Black Pepper – Black Shetland gelding. About 40 inches. $700
Broke to ride. Pepper has been a favorite among children old enough to ride independently. He is also pictured in the background of the second picture of Golden Cloud, below.
Golden Cloud (“GC”) – SOLD 2010 Palomino gelding. 35 inches. $500
AMHA/AMHR registered. Friendly and energetic; being trained to ride and drive, doing well.
Tuppence – 2011 dark palomino gelding. 31 inches. $500
AMHA/AMHR registered. Tame and cooperative, has been ridden by children. Being trained to drive; doing well.
Nicolas – 2014 dark palomino gelding. 35″ $500
Halter broke, friendly, and calm. We’ve only had kids on him a few times, but we expect him to do well under saddle.
