By spring of 2019, Janette plans to choose about 5 more miniature horses to sell. When she does, I will post pictures and information. Though she wants to downsize her herd, it’s always hard to decide which ones to part with. When you’ve raised and loved them since they were wobbly-legged foals, every one is special.
Nessie – 2016 bay filly. 36″ $1,000. Sired by Callaway. Lively and curious, Nessie is turning out nicely and would also make a good brood mare or children’s pony. We are not riding her yet since she’s only 2, but she gets plenty of time interacting with people. Trained to load.
Update as of 1-2-19: These stallions are no longer for sale as breeding stock, as they may be getting to old to do their job. I will leave their pictures and info up so that anyone interested in our ponies can see the sires. We may have another foal or two of theirs born summer 2019 – if so, I will post pictures!
Janette is breeding less horses and has decided to let go of two of her 4 stallions, both from champion lines. Asking price is half what we paid for them. Pictures are from 2017.
Callaway – 2000 Bay stallion. 29 inches. $1,500
Vermilyea Farms Corvettes Callaway, registered with both AMHR and AMHA. He was National Grand Champion as a colt, sired by champion Roys Toy/out of Buckeroos Southern Belle. Grandsire Bond Snippet. He passes his nicely dished face and clean, trim conformation on to his foals.
Karat – 1997 stallion. 31 inches. $2,000
Lowreys Lil 18 Karat, registered with both AMHR and AMHA. Sire Cajun King, Grandsires Little Rambler and Vant Huttenest. Karat is broke to ride and drive and has pulled the cart for many VBS programs and other events for kids. His foals have good conformation and tend to inherit his very full mane and tail.
*Janette would consider selling these stallions gelded for a reduced price.
Black Pepper – SOLD 2008 black gelding. Registered American Shetland. About 42 inches. $800
Broke to ride. Pepper has been a favorite among children old enough to ride independently.
